Once fully onboarded, this checklist serves as a guide for auction companies setting up and running events using atgPay.
Pre-Sale
- Enable atgPay on the event.
- Select the Shipping Method for the event: Local Pickup, Self-arranged, or both.
- Select whether or not fees will be absorbed or passed on to the bidder.
- Add or edit event shipping fees, if needed.
- Verify that the shipping, payment, and checkout information in the event's Payment & Terms reflect the use of atgPay.
- The Sales Tax Amount field can be left blank or set to 0% as the value entered will be overridden when taxes are automatically calculated based on the bidder's location.
- Since taxes are calculated automatically when using atgPay, auction companies will not be able to edit the Sales Tax Amount field once atgPay is enabled on an event.
- Update the invoice email to include additional payment details for winning bidders, if needed.
- Categorize the lots in the catalog.
- Verify that the event catalog is compliant with Proxibid's Unified User Agreement.
- If firearms are being sold, an FFL must be on file in the auction company's name.
- If high-risk items are being sold, the merchant must obtain a High-Risk Merchant ID.
Post Sale
- Reconcile lots.
- Add or edit invoice shipping or other fees, as needed.
- Email invoices to winning bidders.
- If bidders have provided tax exemption certificates to the auction company directly, please forward them to payments@proxibid.com.
- Use the Payment Processing Portal to monitor incoming bidder payments.
- Submit any necessary disputes.
- Change the event status to 'Archived' to stop accepting payments via atgPay.
- For information on payment disbursements, see atgPay: Refunds and Disbursements.
- Various sale reports can be accessed in AuctionBuilder and the Payment Processing Portal.
- Invoice payment status can be tracked on the Invoices page in AuctionBuilder, as well as the Winning Bidder Report. For more information, see atgPay: Invoicing and Bidder Payments.
