What is the Email Log?
If an auction company has an email address entered into the More Info Email field on the Edit Account page in AuctionBuilder, the bidder will see a Get More Info link in each lot in their catalogs. Clicking that link will open an email form that is used by bidders to request more information about the lot. The form will be sent to the email address entered into the More Info Email field.
- If the More Info Email field is left blank, the Get More Info link will not appear on any lots.
The Email Log provides a list of all of the requests for additional information submitted by bidders using the Get More Info link.
Viewing the Email Log
To access the log, click the Email Log link located on the left side of AuctionBuilder under Auction Tools. Check the box to the left of an email to mark it as read.
Click the Remove link to the right of an email to remove it from the Email Log.
While responses cannot be sent out of AuctionBuilder, the bidder's email address is listed in the To column and can be copied and pasted into an email response outside of AuctionBuilder.
