This article describes how cataloging is handled when cross-listing an auction from Proxibid to BidSpotter and/or ATG White Label using atgXL.

Uploading & Editing a Catalog
Lots and images can be cataloged in AuctionBuilder via the Catalog Generator or uploaded via the Bulk Loader.
Unless you're using Wavebid, lots and images should only be added in AuctionBuilder- not in GAP Toolbox. Edits and additions will automatically push over to GAP Toolbox once they are saved in AuctionBuilder.
Images can take time to export and sync to GAP Toolbox- up to several hours depending on the size of the catalog.
Catalog Requirements
- A catalog must contain at least one lot before it can be published to GAP Toolbox.

See the Catalog Feature Availability table below to determine if additional cataloging features are available when cross-listing.

Lot Edits
Edits to the auction or lot information must only be undertaken in AuctionBuilder- not directly in GAP Toolbox. See the Cataloging Feature Availability table below for more information about which cataloging fields can or cannot be edited in GAP Toolbox or AuctionBuilder.
For Timed events, the AuctionBuilder Bulk Loader cannot be used to upload a catalog once the Event Status has been changed to 'Online'. For Live events, the Bulk Loader cannot be used after the Event Status has been changed to 'Live'. If you need to have a catalog uploaded after the event has gone Online/Live, please contact Seller Support.
For Live auctions, once the live application is launched in either AuctionBuilder or GAP Toolbox, edits made to the catalog will not sync to the live applications. The live applications in both AuctionBuilder and GAP Toolbox will need to be re-launched in order for the changes to sync.
Lot Deletions
Lots that do not have any pre-bids on them can be deleted from AuctionBuilder up until lots start closing. If a lot with pre-bids needs to be deleted, the pre-bids will need to be deleted first. To get assistance with deleting a lot or deleting pre-bids, please contact Seller Support.
Lots deleted in AuctionBuilder will be automatically deleted from GAP Toolbox.
Cataloging in Wavebid
When using Wavebid for cataloging a cross-listed auction, the auction will need to be created in AuctionBuilder and then linked to Wavebid. The catalog and images can then be built and/or uploaded to Wavebid and exported to Proxibid AuctionBuilder. More information on this process can be found here.
Adding Videos to Lots
A public YouTube video can be added to each lot and those videos will sync to GAP Toolbox.
Regular or shortened YouTube URLs can be uploaded, but Live YouTube video URLs and YouTube Shorts video URLs cannot be uploaded.
Private YouTube videos will not be visible to bidders on Proxibid.com, White Label, or BidSpotter.com.

Hosted videos and Vimeo links can be uploaded to AuctionBuilder as well, but they will not appear on BidSpotter or ATG White Label.
Correctly formatted public YouTube videos will appear as the first image in the image carousel for the lot on BidSpotter.com and ATG White Label, and will appear as the second image in the image carousel on Proxibid.com.
Starting Prices, Reserves & Estimates
Ask Prices (Starting Bids) and Reserves can be entered into AuctionBuilder via the Catalog Generator or uploaded via the Bulk Loader.
Ask Prices and Reserves that are off-increment will be rounded up to the next valid increment. This is to ensure bid alignment between Proxibid and BidSpotter/ATG White Label for the auction.
A notification will appear in AuctionBuilder when an alteration of this nature is made:
Starting Bids (Ask Price)
- An Ask Price (Starting Bid) equal to your first valid increment will be automatically created if one is not specified.
- The Ask Price (Starting Bid) can be edited on any lot until bidding begins on that lot, as long as the lot does not have any pre-bids. If the lot has pre-bids, those pre-bids will need to be deleted by Seller Support before the Starting Bid can be changed. Steps on editing the Starting Bid can be found here.
- If changes are made to a catalog via import, the Ask Price (Starting Bid) needs to be included every time a new catalog is imported through the Bulk Loader.
Reserves
- Timed Auctions: Reserves will sync to Gap Toolbox on Timed cross-listed auctions. If Reserves need to be edited, they should be lowered to the next highest bid. Lowering reserves to $0 instead of the next highest bid may disrupt the lot's bid drive, resulting in loss of bids.
- Live Auctions: Reserves will not sync to Gap Toolbox on Live cross-listed auctions. If reserves are needed on Live BidSpotter or ATG White Label auctions, they will need to be added to the catalog in GAP Toolbox manually.
Estimates
Estimates listed in the lot metadata in AuctionBuilder will appear in the lot's description in GAP Toolbox. For information about using metadata in AuctionBuilder, see Lot Categorization & Metadata.
Cataloging Feature Availability
The table below describes the cataloging features that are not available or don't fully sync when cross-listing an auction from Proxibid to GAP Toolbox.

Exporting only the impacted lots, or exporting with the New Photos Only box checked can create issues with the way lots appear in the catalog. Exporting only the impacted lots, or exporting with the New Photos Only box checked can create issues with the way lots appear in the catalog.
