This article describes how reports, auction results, and invoices are processed when cross-listing an auction from Proxibid to BidSpotter and/or ATG White Label using atgXL.
This article contains the following sections:
Reports/Results
Results will need to be obtained from each marketplace separately, as they are not consolidated into one place automatically. Due to the nature of the way sales are reported in each marketplace, the bidder and sale totals in each marketplace will likely not match.
Results in Proxibid AuctionBuilder
Bidder lists and bidder counts in AuctionBuilder will only reflect Proxibid bidders. Information for BidSpotter and/or ATG White Label bidders will need to be obtained from GAP Toolbox.
In Timed auctions, bids from BidSpotter/ATG White Label will be represented as “offsiteBidder” in AuctionBuilder with a paddle number of “-3”.
In Live auctions, bids from BidSpotter/ATG White Label will be represented as “on site” in AuctionBuilder.
More information about Proxibid reporting can be found here.
Results in GAP Toolbox
Results in GAP Toolbox will show all bids received from Proxibid and BidSpotter/ATG White Label. However, bidder information for Proxibid bidders must be obtained from AuctionBuilder.
In Timed auctions, Proxibid bidders who placed bids will be represented as “PB xxxxxxxx” in GAP Toolbox. Bidders who registered on Proxibid but did not bid in the auction will not appear in GAP Toolbox at all.
In Live auctions, Proxibid bidders will be represented as “room” in GAP Toolbox.
Financials in GAP Toolbox should not be edited after the auction has started. This means the ability to send tax exempt winner notifications is not available.
Users cannot re-open lots in GAP Toolbox on cross-listed auctions. To have a lot re-opened, contact Seller Support.
More information about exporting auction results from GAP Toolbox can be found here.
Exporting Results to Wavebid
When using Wavebid for reporting or invoicing on a cross-listed auction, sales results and bidder data must be exported manually from the GAP Toolbox and then imported into Wavebid. More information on this process can be found here.
Passing Lots
Passing lots will follow the standard steps of the marketplace the winning bidder is on.
Passing Lots in Proxibid AuctionBuilder
For Timed auctions in Proxibid AuctionBuilder, lots that do not meet the Starting Bid or Reserve price may show as 'Passed' during the auction. If you need to have a lot passed after the auction, please submit an Invoice Review or contact Seller Support.
For Live auctions, passing lots should be done by the operator via the live auction application for Proxibid.
Passing Lots in GAP Toolbox
For Timed auctions, information on passing lots in GAP Toolbox can be found here.
For Live auctions, passing lots should be done by the operator via the live auction application for GAP Toolbox.
Invoicing
Notifying and invoicing winning bidders must be done separately from each marketplace, as results are not consolidated into one place automatically.
Invoicing Proxibid Bidders
In Timed auctions, bidders from BidSpotter/ATG White Label will be represented as “offsiteBidder” in AuctionBuilder.
In Live auctions, bidders from BidSpotter/ATG White Label will be represented as “on site” in AuctionBuilder.
Proxibid bidders in AuctionBuilder can be invoiced in the same way as events that are not cross-listed.
- If new invoice fees need to be added to Proxibid invoices, they must be added at the account-level before the auction is created. If fees are added after an auction has been created, it will need to be re-created in order for those fees to applied. Contact Seller Support to have fees added to your account.
- atgPay can be used to collect payment from Proxibid bidders.
Invoicing GAP Toolbox Bidders
In Timed auctions, Proxibid bidders who placed bids will be represented as “PB xxxxxxxx” in GAP Toolbox.
In Live auctions, Proxibid bidders will be represented as “room” in GAP Toolbox.
Please note that Winners' Notifications from GAP Toolbox are not invoices and should not be sent to winning bidders as such.
Results and bidder data for BidSpotter/ATG White Label will need to be exported out of GAP Toolbox where it can then be used to generate invoices via third-party system. Proxibid bidders will need to be removed from the winning bidder export in GAP Toolbox before invoicing.
- Plug'n Pay can be used to collect payment from BidSpotter and ATG White Label bidders if it was setup before creating the cross-listed auction.
- For information on taxing Buyer's Premiums, see atgXL: Taxes & Premiums.
Using Wavebid for Invoicing
When using Wavebid for invoicing on an atgXL auction, sales results and bidder data can be imported into Wavebid via the Proxibid Integration. Sales results and bidder data for BidSpotter and/or ATG White Label must be exported manually from GAP Toolbox and then imported into Wavebid. More information on this process can be found here.
